The new isekai fantasy adventure series Loner Life in Another World has been a hit this fall, and fans can continue to catch new subtitled episodes every Thursday until its season finale on December 12. After getting transported to another world with his entire high school class, “God” offers Haruka and his peers their choice of special powers so they can become fantasy heroes. But Haruka accidentally missed the power selection period, and now he’s stuck with the leftover abilities his classmates refused to take! HIDIVE Reveals Two New Winter 2025 Simulcast Series As Part of Its Anime Frontier 2024 Programming Line-Up

As part of today’s announcement, HIDIVE revealed two new series, From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated! and Beheneko: The Elf-Girl’s Cat is Secretly an S-Ranked Monster!, that will debut in January as part of its Winter 2025 simulcast season following their North American premieres at Anime Frontier 2024. Acorn TV today released a sneak peek at a new episode of the detective crime drama Inspector Ellis, debuting on the platform on Monday, November 11 in the US and Canada. The riveting three-part series stars three-time Olivier Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Sharon D Clarke (Showtrial, Lost Boys & Fairies, Rocketman) as Detective Chief Inspector (DCI) Ellis, a tenacious cop who is parachuted into failing investigations.

Episode 102 – “Callorwell” – Premieres Monday, November 11 on Acorn TV

Inspector Ellis and DS Harper arrive in Callorwell to investigate the disappearance of Jenny Lawler, a local detective. ACC Leighton needs Inspector Ellis on this case as the DCI of the station was recently suspended from duty after Jenny filed a sexual harassment claim against him. Jenny’s colleagues do not seem particularly worried about her disappearance, believing she left of her own free will – but Inspector Ellis smells that something is rotten within this force. And she is proven right when Jenny is found, murdered… while she was 14 weeks pregnant.

Each ninety-minute episode of the series sees DCI Ellis (Clarke), accompanied by her right-hand man Detective Sergeant (DS) Harper, played by Andrew Gower (The Winter King, Carnival Row, Outlander), arrive at a different local police station, where she must win over the local detectives and immerse herself in the cases she’s come to solve. As a Black female cop, Inspector Ellis is used to being dismissed and overlooked, but remains focused on her work as a first-class murder detective, fueled by a determination for justice and a deep well of compassion for those who need it.

AMC NETWORKS INC. REPORTS THIRD QUARTER 2024 RESULTS

New York, NY – November 8, 2024: AMC Networks Inc. (“AMC Networks” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: AMCX) today reported financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2024.

Chief Executive Officer Kristin Dolan said: “As we manage this business within a complex and changing environment, we remain focused on our key strategic pillars – programming, partnerships and profitability. During the quarter, we made significant advancements across all three areas. We have generated $293 million of free cash flow year to date and are well on our way to delivering our stated goal of approximately half a billion dollars in cumulative free cash over two years. We also entered into new and enhanced partnerships with major companies like Charter, Netflix, Amazon and others which are driving our company forward as we continue to provide distinctive, high-quality programming to customers across an expanding array of platforms.”

BBC America Transaction

On November 1, 2024, the Company closed a transaction with BBC Studios in which the Company acquired the remaining 50.1% of the BBC America joint-venture that it had not previously owned for $42.0 million in cash. The Company now owns 100% of the BBC America business, with full operational control, and will continue to fully consolidate BBC America.

Assuming the transaction had closed on September 30, 2024, $132.9 million of redeemable noncontrolling interest related to BBC America, and reflected on the condensed consolidated balance sheet, would have been eliminated. Additionally, the Company’s future contractual programming commitments to BBC Studios would have been significantly reduced.

Going forward, AMC Networks will no longer be making any related cash distributions to non-controlling interests.

Partial Prepayment of Term Loan A Facility Borrowings

During the third quarter of 2024, the Company repaid $8.1 million of borrowings under the Term Loan A Facility in accordance with the terms of the amended agreement. Additionally, the Company also voluntarily prepaid $35.0 million of borrowings under the Term Loan A Facility.

Stock Repurchase Program & Outstanding Shares

As previously disclosed, the Company’s Board of Directors has authorized a program to repurchase up to $1.5 billion of the Company’s outstanding shares of common stock (the “Stock Repurchase Program”). The Stock Repurchase Program has no pre-established termination date and may be suspended or discontinued at any time. During the quarter ended September 30, 2024, the Company did not repurchase any shares. As of September 30, 2024, the Company had $135 million of authorization remaining for repurchase under the Stock Repurchase Program.

As of November 1, 2024, the Company had 32,636,371 shares of Class A Common Stock and 11,484,408 shares of Class B Common Stock outstanding.

Description of Non-GAAP Measures

Internally, the Company uses net revenues, Adjusted Operating Income (Loss), and Free Cash Flow measures as the most important indicators of its business performance and evaluates management’s effectiveness with specific reference to these indicators.

The Company defines Adjusted Operating Income (Loss), which is a non-GAAP financial measure, as operating income (loss) before share-based compensation expense or benefit, depreciation and amortization, impairment and other charges (including gains or losses on sales or dispositions of businesses), restructuring and other related charges, cloud computing amortization, and including the Company’s proportionate share of adjusted operating income (loss) from majority-owned equity method investees. From time to time, we may exclude the impact of certain events, gains, losses, or other charges (such as significant legal settlements) from AOI that affect our operating performance. Because it is based upon operating income (loss), Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) also excludes interest expense (including cash interest expense) and other non-operating income and expense items. The Company believes that the exclusion of share-based compensation expense or benefit allows investors to better track the performance of the various operating units of the business without regard to the effect of the settlement of an obligation that is not expected to be made in cash.

The Company believes that Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) is an appropriate measure for evaluating the operating performance of the business segments and the Company on a consolidated basis. Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) and similar measures with similar titles are common performance measures used by investors, analysts, and peers to compare performance in the industry. Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) should be viewed as a supplement to and not a substitute for operating income (loss), net income (loss), and other measures of performance presented in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”). Since Adjusted Operating Income (Loss) is not a measure of performance calculated in accordance with GAAP, this measure may not be comparable to similar measures with similar titles used by other companies. The Company defines Free Cash Flow, which is a non-GAAP financial measure, as net cash provided by operating activities less capital expenditures, all of which are reported in our Consolidated Statement of Cash Flows. The Company believes the most comparable GAAP financial measure of its liquidity is net cash provided by operating activities. The Company believes that Free Cash Flow is useful as an indicator of its overall liquidity, as the amount of Free Cash Flow generated in any period is representative of cash that is available for debt repayment, investment, and other discretionary and non-discretionary cash uses. The Company also believes that Free Cash Flow is one of several benchmarks used by analysts and investors who follow the industry for comparison of its liquidity with other companies in the industry, although the Company’s measure of Free Cash Flow may not be directly comparable to similar measures reported by other companies. NEW YORK – November 4, 2024 – Acorn TV’s fan-favorite detective crime drama Dalgliesh returns exclusively on Monday, December 2 in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The third season, consisting of six episodes, is based on three of the novels from P.D. James’ bestselling murder mystery series, “Adam Dalgliesh Mystery,” with SAG® Award-nominee Bertie Carvel (The Crown, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell) reprising his role as the enigmatic titular investigator. Season 3 is made up of three distinct mysteries, each two episodes long, with the first, “Death in Holy Orders,” premiering on Monday, December 2, the second, “Cover Her Face,” which marks Carvel’s directorial debut, premiering on Monday, December 9, and the third, “Devices and Desires,” premiering on Monday, December 16.

Season 3 of the intriguing series is set in 1979 on the cusp of Margaret Thatcher’s victory and sees Commander Adam Dalgliesh (Carvel) take on three highly sensitive cases – from a remote seminary already mired in scandal, to a wealthy family under political attack, and to a spate of killings at a nuclear power station.

AMC Networks debuted a teaser for season three of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon during the finale of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol on Sunday evening, November 3. Starring Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride as the beloved characters “Daryl Dixon” and “Carol Peletier,” the new season is set to premiere in 2025 on AMC and AMC+. Production of season three is currently underway in Madrid with extensive location shooting in the Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia and Valencia regions, each providing a new and unique backdrop for the post-apocalyptic world.

Just in time for Halloween, AMC Networks released today a spellbinding trailer for season two of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches. Starring Alexandra Daddario, Jack Huston, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa and Alyssa Jirrels, the new season will debut Sunday, January 5 on AMC+ and AMC.

Based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches, season two of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches continues the journey of Rowan Mayfair (Daddario) after she has unwittingly given birth to the demon Lasher (Huston). She is determined to understand what he has become – human or monster? – and to use him to fulfill her purpose as a healer, but when tragedy strikes, she must put aside her own desires and fight to protect her family.

Additional cast includes Ben Feldman, Ted Levine and Thora Birch, amongst others. The series is executive produced by Mark Johnson, showrunner Esta Spalding, Tom Williams, Michelle Ashford, Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice, and is produced by AMC Studios.

Omarion to Star In and Produce New ALLBLK Drama, Wild Rose

NEW YORK, NY – OCTOBER 30, 2024 – ALLBLK, the popular streaming service for Black television and film from AMC Networks, today announced the greenlight of new original drama series Wild Rose (8×30). From the mind of Deji LaRay (Johnson, Escaping Paradise) and produced by and starring singer, songwriter, author and actor, Omarion, the refined series follows a charismatic hitman with a conscious, Roosevelt aka ‘Rose,’ who comes from a family of assassins that also happen to run a non-profit organization. Behind the non-profit façade is an elite, family-run, hired-gun agency known for taking down high-profile targets.

Trained from childhood, Rose (Omarion) has always followed orders – until now. Rose’s world is turned upside down when his wife and daughter mysteriously walk out of his life and aren’t heard from for months. As a man trained to trust no one, he suspects foul play and finds himself questioning everything and everyone. As he embarks on a journey to uncover the truth, he starts to unravel a web of secrets that force him to question his identity within his own family.
