From South Africa To New York City Search For Style With Colin Cowie

Third Season of Original Series ‘Everyday Elegance’ To Premiere This Fall On Romance Classics

Bethpage, New York, April 11, 2000 – Style guru and tastemaker extraordinaire, Colin Cowie, is back with the third season of Romance Classics’ original series, Everyday Elegance with Colin Cowie. This season Cowie is “in search of style” featuring several episodes shot on location in his homeland of South Africa. These episodes will feature the best this culture has to offer in food, decorating, customs and style. Fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, celebrity hair stylist John Sahag, Editor of “Town and Country” magazine Melissa Biggs-Bradley, and designer Pamela Dennis will be featured guests.


Colin Cowie was born in Kitwe, Zambia and raised in South Africa. From a young age, he developed a passion and flair for entertaining. In the 1980’s he settled in Los Angeles, where he founded Colin Cowie Lifestyle, an event planning, catering, design and production company. Now based in New York City, Colin Cowie Lifestyle is an international company, renown for planning some of the most highly publicized parties and weddings of the decade including the marriages of Lisa Kudrow, Paula Abdul, Kenny G., Don Henley, Hugh Hefner and many others.


Cowie is responsible for some of the world’s most memorable fetes. Most recently, Cowie orchestrated the gala opening of the posh Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. He is the author of two books, Effortless Elegance with Colin Cowie and Colin Cowie’s Weddings.


Jeff Eisenburg is the executive producer of the series for Romance Classics. “Everyday Elegance with Colin Cowie” is produced for Romance Classics by Design TV. John M. Heller and Nana Colgrove, co- founders of Design TV, produce the hit series with Mr. Cowie. Telling stories of lives filled with passion and creativity, like Colin Cowie’s, has been the inspiration for many of Design TV’s programs.


John M. Heller is the director of “Everyday Elegance” he has also directed original programming for such fashion names as Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta, and Elsa Klench. John Heller directed films written by Elmore Leonard and Alfred Uhry for the short film series “Byline Showtime.” Working with Robert Redford, Mr. Heller produced documentaries for the Sundance Institute and has garnered an Academy Award nomination for his work with PBS on “The American Experience: Adam Cayton Powell.” Nana Colgrove’s expertise as a producer includes her ability to work with clients to develop ideas like Style Solutions for Romance Classics, TV 2000 for Reuters and The Body Shop’s award-winning program “Body and Soul.”


ROMANCE CLASSICS provides an oasis of entertainment for women 24 hours a day. It is “Time Out TV” that helps women reconnect, refocus and rediscover the issues that are most important to them: family, relationships, romance, well-being and new experiences.
