CHICAGO – In a season filled with high expectations and a national spotlight, the 1999-2000 DePaul Blue Demons men’s basketball squad and head coach Pat Kennedy had more than just basketball to deal with during last year’s promising campaign. In an unprecedented television event, Fox Sports Net and TeamWorks Media take viewers inside the world of DePaul Blue Demons basketball in the all-access documentary, The Demons Within.
On Monday, December 25 (Christmas night) at 7:00 PM, Fox Sports Net Chicago will premiere The Demons Within, a two-hour documentary focusing on the inner workings of the Blue Demons program and a never-before-seen look at the relationship between the DePaul coach and his players. The access granted for the making of The Demons Within gives an unabridged portrayal of one of the nation’s most popular college basketball teams. Fox Sports Net Chicago will replay The Demons Within on Saturday, December 30 at 8:00 PM and Friday, January 5 at 8:00 PM.
Produced by TeamWorks Media co-founders Kevin Krebs and Jay Sharman, The Demons Within takes an in-depth look at the dramatic personal stories behind the players and coaches and provides a unique perspective into big time college basketball. Head coach Pat Kennedy, perceived as an east coast outsider, tries to redeem the DePaul program and establish himself as the leader of a new era in Blue Demons basketball. Quentin Richardson, who discovered his passion for basketball from his mother before she died, fulfills his dream. Rashon Burno, an undersized point guard, who tragically lost both parents as a child, perseveres to become the heart and soul of the team that has become his family. These are just some of the unique stories explored in The Demons Within.
