Metro Premieres The Full Frontal Fashion Hour Saturday, November 11 @ 10 PM

Collections & Histories of Oscar de la Renta & John Bartlett Will Be Profiled On the Premiere of NY’s Only Weekly Series Dedicated to Style-Makers

NEW YORK, N.Y., November 8, 2000 – For the second year running, MetroChannels’ round-the-clock coverage of Fashion Week in Bryant Park received raves from designers, fashion reporters, celebs, tv critics and the public at large. The network is now capitalizing on the public’s growing appetite for fashion television with the premiere of The Full Frontal Fashion Hour. The show will debut November 11 @ 10 PM on Metro (Time Warner Cable – Channel 70; Cablevision, Channel 16).

The Full Frontal Fashion Hour puts style-lovers in touch with the big names making the trends. The November 11 premiere will feature exclusive interviews with superstar designers Oscar de la Renta and John Bartlet. In the segment called “Behind the Label” we meet the designers to discuss the triumphs and challenges of their careers. Next, each designer provides live commentary about his or her runway shows from their Spring 2001 collection. Designers to be featured in the series over the coming weeks include Carolina Herrera, Betsey Johnson, Craig Natiello for Halston, Randolph Duke & Cynthia Rowley.

The Full Frontal Fashion Hour boasts contributions from the team that made Metro’s coverage of Fashion Week such a hit. Supermodel/television personality Gail O’Neill returns as host, as well as the Metro personalities of Judy Licht, Christina Ha and Robert Verdi. Verdi will also return with “Where D’ya Get That” – a short segment in which he asks celebrities the story behind what they’re wearing, where they found it and most importantly how much they paid.

Industry insiders also have a role in the new show. Top fashion analysts, reporters and stylists are asked to discuss the featured designers and the latest trends. InStyle Magazine’s guru of threads, Hal Rubenstein, will be featured in the November 11 premiere.

“The Full Frontal Fashion Hour capitalizes on New York’s obsession with Fashion Week and fashion in general”, adds Patrice Andrews, Senior Vice President of Programming and Promotion. “Metro thinks fashion is an every day occurrence, not just a twice-a-year event in Bryant Park”.
