CLEVELAND -Continuing its in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the building of the Columbus Blue Jackets, the FOX Sports Net affiliate in Ohio today announced the return of “Blue Jackets Beat,” on Thursday, January 20 at 9:30 PM. “Blue Jackets Beat” is presented by OhioHealth, the official health care provider of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Steve Liverani, senior vice president and general manager, FOX Sports Net (Ohio), made the announcement.
Tune in as hosts Jeff Hogan and Dave Miller sit down with Doug MacLean, president and general manager of the Columbus Blue Jackets, to discuss how the franchise is progressing. In addition, “Blue Jackets Beat” will introduce two staff members involved with the development of the team: Jim Clark, assistant general manager, and Bill Davidge, player scout.
“Blue Jackets Beat” will also feature a segment on the team’s scouting efforts and what type of players will be sought through the expansion and entry drafts.
The show will also take a look at the Blue Jackets’ community outreach programs and its efforts to develop an interest in hockey by generating more youth involvement in the game. Viewers will be able to join Bill Davidge down on the ice as he conducts a clinic at the Dublin Chiller.
” As the development of the franchise progresses, we will continue to provide the most in-depth and informative coverage available,” said Liverani. “FOX Sports Net will continue to give fans throughout the region the most current information available.”
“‘This broadcast of ‘Blue Jackets Beat’ is the second of a five-part series that will air on FOX Sports Net prior to our inaugural season,” said MacLean. “Each show allows fans in this region the opportunity to follow the building of the Blue Jackets.”
