BETHPAGE, NY, July 26, 2000 – All you need is a backpack, passport, hiking boots and three weeks vacation from work — and you can be the next Journey woman featured in the new series, “Journey Women Off The Map,” premiering on ROMANCE CLASSICS on Thursday, September 28 at
8:00 PM (ET). The travel adventure series explores the dreams, desires, and motivations of daring women as they travel alone to exotic places.
From hiking through a Costa Rican jungle to gliding down a natural waterfall slide, and exploring a magical volcanic lake, spirited women take viewers along as they venture to these faraway places in search of fun and adventure. Their first-hand accounts of their unusual trips allow viewers to experience the culture, the people, the sights, and ambience of destinations including Morocco, Finland, Egypt, Costa Rica, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Ecuador and Galapagos, with a different journey woman each week as your guide.
The 13-part series was taped over a period of eight years, chronicling the adventures of 26 women as they travel to a remote part of the world, embarking on a journey of world exploration and human discovery.
Romance Classics, a network from AMC, features popular movies and entertainment for women. The network’s programming lineup features original lifestyle and entertainment series, as well as biographies of inspiring women.
