(Norwalk, CT, April 12, 2001) – News 12 Connecticut has been honored by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with five New England Emmy nominations at their annual Nominee Dinner in Boston on April 10th, 2001.
News 12 Connecticut earned 2 nominations in the category of “Light News Story-Profile/Entertainment,” for the profile pieces, Cone Man, and The Cutting Edge. News 12 Connecticut also earned a nomination in the category of “Team Effort” for its intense coverage of Snow Storm 2000. Finally, News 12 Connecticut received a nomination for “Spot News,” for Firefighters’ Nightmare and “Light News Story Multi-Part Report,” for Magnificent Moms.
The coveted Emmy Awards, are given by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to honor the advancements of creative, artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry.
