New York, NY, January 15, 2002 – Rainbow Advertising Sales Corporation (RASCO) announced today that Arlene Manos has been named President of Rainbow National Network Advertising Sales. She will report directly to David Kline, President and COO of RASCO, who oversees Rainbow and Cablevision's national and regional advertising sales.
Ms. Manos, a television advertising industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, will oversee advertising sales for Rainbow's national networks including Bravo, WE: Women's Entertainment and MuchMusic USA. She will also direct the sponsorship sales for American Movie Classics and The Independent Film Channel. In this role, she will manage offices in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, overseeing nearly 100 staff members. The appointment reflects an increasing commitment to tapping the advertising potential within Rainbow's national networks.

Manos joins Rainbow at a time of significant growth. Having added more than 12 million subscribers in 2001, Bravo has just passed the 63 million viewer mark. According to Nielsen Media Research, WE: Women's Entertainment was the fastest growing entertainment network in 2001, reaching 42 million subscribers by the end of the year. MuchMusic USA, after launching break-through, viewer-driven interactive programming in 2001, was named one of the top 5 networks with teens by Myers Research.

Most recently, Ms. Manos was Senior Vice President for National Advertising Sales, A&E Television Networks. In her role, she was responsible for the management of A&E Television Networks' four advertising sales offices, including New York, Chicago, Detroit and Los Angeles for both A&E Network and The History Channel. In addition to providing leadership to the sales teams, Ms. Manos was directly responsible for advertising sales, promotion and research efforts.
Having worked her way through the ranks at A&E, Ms. Manos joined A&E Network in November 1988 as an account executive. Over her 12-year tenure with the company, she held the titles of Vice President, National Advertising Sales; Vice President, Advertising Sales, A&E Television Networks; Regional Vice President, Eastern Ad Sales, A&E Network;.and Director, New York Sales, A&E Network. Early in her career, she was an associate publisher of Manhattan, Inc. magazine, a retail sales manager at WABC-TV in New York and as an account executive at CBS Cable.
Ms. Manos graduated from Trinity College in Washington, DC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She resides in New York with her husband.
