FSN Florida Hits Record Ratings With Florida Marlins Season Coverage

(SUNRISE, FL) – FSN Florida announced today that its 2004 season rating for Florida Marlins' telecasts averaged a 3.9 television household rating in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale DMA. The 2004 full season average rating matches the previous record high full season average set during the 1997 season when the Marlins won their first World Series. The 2004 season average rating also marks a 5% increase over the 2003 season average rating of 3.7 during the team's second World Series Championship season.

"After winning the 2003 World Series Championship, the Marlins lived up to their commitment of putting a competitive team on the field in 2004 and Marlins' fans responded with record TV ratings and turnstile counts at the stadium," said Jeff Genthner, Senior Vice President and General Manager, FSN Florida.

One rating point represents approximately 15,500 television households in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale DMA, which consists of Dade, Broward and Monroe Counties.

FSN Florida reaches over 5 million households in Florida. FSN Florida's programming includes Major League Baseball's Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the National Hockey League's Florida Panthers, the University of Miami, The Best Damn Sports Show Period, I, Max, The Sports List and NASCAR.
