(SUNRISE, FL) – FSN Florida announced today an impressive slate of college football programming scheduled to air on the regional sports network this Saturday, October 23.
FSN's exclusive Pac 10 college football programming lineup boasts the #1 ranked and defending National Champion, the University of Southern California Trojans, hosting the University of Washington Huskies at the Coliseum in Southern California. Heisman Trophy favorite, Matt Leinart, leads the high powered USC offense under head coach Pete Carroll, while Huskies head coach Keith Gilbertson looks for success from quarterback Isaiah Stanback's outstanding option game to snap USC's 15 game win streak. Live game coverage begins at 6:30 PM with Barry Tompkins calling the play-by-play and Petros Papadakis providing the color commentary.
At 1:00 PM, FSN's Big 12 coverage begins with the #3 ranked University of Oklahoma Sooners taking on the Kansas University Jayhawks live from Norman, Oklahoma. Led by the 2003 Heisman Trophy winner quarterback Jason White, the unbeaten Sooners host their homecoming against a Jayhawks' defense, spearheaded by top Big 12 linebacker Gabriel Toomey. This match-up also marks the first meeting against Oklahoma for Kansas head coach Mark Mangino, the former offensive coordinator for the Sooners. FSN's Joel Meyers will call the play-by-play with Dave Lapham providing game analysis.
FSN Florida's College Football Saturday begins with the Bubba Burger Blitz, an hour long college football preview show airing at 9:30 AM, featuring former University of Miami quarterback Gino Torretta; former Florida State defensive back Leroy Butler; former Florida Gator All-American Brad Culpepper and host Frank Frangie.
