Block Premieres New Show “Video IQ,” A Music Puzzle Series

Network Supports New Three-Way Programming
With Yet Another Lo-Fi, High-Impact Advertising Blitz

(New York, November 8, 2004) – On November 15th, Fuse, the nation’s only viewer-driven, all-music network, will again push forward the frontiers of convergence programming with the introduction of its newest programming block, After School Special.

Branded under the button-pushing acronym A.S.S., the three-hour block features three shows, each designed to provide a rich entertainment experience which seamlessly merges television viewing with interactivity via the Internet and a host of wireless devices. Airing Mondays through Fridays from 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (ET), this new block includes a brand new offering, Video IQ (4:30 – 5:00 PM; encore at 7:00 – 7:30 PM) and two proven viewer-favorites, Dedicate Live! (5 – 6 PM) and Daily Download (6 – 7 PM).

The kick-off to Fuse’s A.S.S. block, the network will premiere its newest convergence offering, Video IQ, an original interactive music video puzzle show created and executive produced by Spin the Bottle’s Tad Low, creator of VH1’s Pop-Up Video. During each episode, viewers search for visual clues contained in the hottest music videos to reveal a secret famous person, place or phrase from pop culture. Viewers can use the web, their mobile phone and their television to view the full-length uncut videos and the clues, then text message or email in their responses to win prizes.

“It’s the ultimate three-way. The After School Special block lets viewers enjoy three hours of three shows across three platforms – TV, Web and wireless,” says Fuse’s Head of Programming Robert Weiss. “Fuse is a network built from the ground up on convergence with the highest concentration of 12-34 year old viewers and the greatest concentration of mobile phone-owning teens. Without a doubt, they are the most tech-savvy audience, a passionate incubator that can readily embrace and move forward the next generation of convergence programming.”

“Whether they are downloading tunes, text messaging in song dedications or going to the web to solve puzzles, this block offers a time and place where young viewers can fully and simultaneously experience music – on television, the Internet and their mobile phones,” continues Weiss, who also oversees Interactive Media for the network.
