Bronx Zoo Assistant Supervisor Wins $50,000 For Her Dream Wedding
June 7, 2005 — Today in Times Square, to kick off Season Two of WE: Women's Entertainment's original series Bridezillas, 20 brides-to-be dove into New York's largest wedding cake to battle for $50,000 towards the perfect wedding. 32-year-old Gina Savastano of Monroe, NY came up the winner of the Bridezillas $50K Cake Dash.

Savastano, engaged to Cito Perez, can now look forward to her dream wedding on the beach in Pompano Beach, Florida. With the $50,000, she can fly their immediate families to celebrate their New Year's Eve nuptials and, with the money she has left, throw a huge pool party/pig roast in May 2006 for all their friends and family who can't join them on the beach. Savastano, an assistant supervisor in the mammal department at the Bronx Zoo, works 10-12 hours per day while completing her Masters in animal behavior at Hunter College.
