Season two marathon, Labor Day Weekend, September 3-5
JERICHO, NY, August 15, 2005 – McLeod’s Daughters, the Australian fan favorite that has gained an enthusiastic following on this side of the Pacific will return to WE: Women’s Entertainment for its third season on Saturday, September 10 at 10:00pm ET. Season two of the acclaimed drama will wrap up on Saturday, August 27. Viewers who missed any part of Season two can tune in to WE, Labor Day Weekend for a three-day marathon September 3-5.
In its first two season McLeod’s Daughters has evolved from a show about two sisters determined to successfully run a ranch in the Australian Outback to an empowering show about self-fulfillment. It became a complex drama of the lives, loves and interpersonal relationships the women have with each other and the men who enter their lives. In the third season the evolution continues as young love leads to questionable marriage, good friends realize they’re something more and an independent woman learns to balance work and single-motherhood. Season three does have its share of lies and betrayal, but this time the truth is dramatic enough.
Season three also introduces two new characters to Drover’s Run. Stevie Hall, an old friend of Claire’s from the rodeo circuit, arrives at the ranch to lend a hand. But her wild travels and questionable past may be too much for Tess to overlook. However, Tess does give the new veterinarian, Dave Brewer, a second look. Brewer is more comfortable with animals than women, but in the end his warm personality and movie star good looks make him irresistible.
In the one year since it premiered in the U.S., McLEOD’S DAUGHTERS has become a break out hit for WE: Women’s Entertainment and continues to anchor their Saturday night lineup. The upcoming show schedule will be as follows:

McLEOD’S DAUGHTERS stars hard-working, country-girl Claire McLeod (Lisa Chappell) and her city bred, younger sister Tess Silverman (Bridie Carter). Helping the sisters run their ranch is the warm-hearted mother figure, Meg Fountain (Sonia Todd), her dreamer daughter Jodi Fountain (Rachel Carpani) and the street smart Becky Howard (Jessica Napier). Also helping out at the ranch and adding to the drama are neighboring brothers, Alex Ryan (Aaron Jeffrey) and Nick Ryan (Myles Pollard).
