AMC's 'Sunday Morning Shootout' Goes On The Road in 2005

Hosts Peter Bart and Peter Guber visit Sundance, Aspen, Tribeca and Cannes film festivals

Special themed episodes spotlighting Golden Globes and Oscars® award shows currently in production

NEW YORK, NY, January 19, 2005 – AMC is taking its Hollywood talk show Sunday Morning ShootOut on the road in 2005. The show will shoot on location at annual industry film festivals including: Sundance; the U.S. Comedy Arts festival; Tribeca; and the prestigious Cannes film festival in France. AMC is also in production of two themed episodes surrounding the Golden Globes and Academy Awards® shows. During each episode, hosts Peter Bart and Peter Guber will talk to movie stars about the film industry, its players and its future.

Sunday Morning ShootOut is a standout original production for AMC. Now in its fourth season, the weekly series continues to attract Hollywood's hottest actors, directors and producers. Recent guests include: Mel Gibson, Nicholas Cage, Kevin Spacey, Dennis Quaid and Virginia Madsen, star of the hit film Sideways.

Sundance film festival, Sundance, Utah – January 20-30, 2005
Sunday Morning ShootOut will shoot an episode on Jan 22 to air on Jan 30. Hosts Bart and Guber will discuss upcoming independent films with special guests:

The Jacket – Adrien Brody, Keira Knightley and Jennifer Jason Leigh (produced by host Guber)

U.S. Comedy Arts festival, Aspen, Colorado – February 9-13, 2005
Sunday Morning ShootOut returns to Aspen for a second time where Bart and Guber will talk to guests who reign in the comedy genre. Last year, the hosts taped an episode with funny man Jack Black (School of Rock, Shallow Hal). This year, AMC will tape two episodes of the series on Feb 10 and 11. The shows will air on Feb 13 and 20.

Tribeca film festival, New York City, NY – April 21-May 1, 2005
Special ShootOut correspondents will conduct on-site interviews with many of the stars and filmmakers at Robert DeNiro's fourth annual Tribeca film festival in downtown New York City. The interviews will be weaved into a special episode of the series and will focus on filmmaking in New York and the unique voice of the city's filmmakers. Guests and dates TBA.

Cannes film festival, Cannes, France – May 11-22, 2005
Sunday Morning ShootOut will make a special trip to the 58th annual Festival De Cannes to tape an episode about the prestige and honor that the festival lends to filmmakers whose work is awarded. Guests and dates TBA.

Golden Globes and Oscars® Awards shows
Once again, AMC will produce a special episode surrounding the movie industry's most glamorous event – the annual Academy Awards®. The ShootOut cameras will roll at the Oscar Nominee luncheon on Feb 7, capturing interviews with the year's nominees. AMC will air specially produced ShootOut Oscar vignettes from Feb 20-26 at 8 pm, culminating in a one-hour episode to air on Feb 27 at 11 am. In addition, AMC will shoot an episode at the 62nd annual Golden Globes ceremony on Jan 16, to air later as a one-hour episode.

Peter Bart is editor-in-chief of Variety, and former reporter for The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. In his career as an executive at Paramount Pictures and as president of Lorimar, Bart played a major role in creating classics like The Godfather, Rosemary's Baby and The Postman Always Rings Twice. Bart is also the author of seven books including, most recently, Dangerous Company.

Peter Guber is the Chairman of Mandalay Entertainment, former Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Producer of dozens of Hollywood's most successful movies including Batman, Rainman, Witches of Eastwick, Flashdance, Midnight Express and The Color Purple. Mr. Guber is a full Professor at UCLA School of Theatre Film and Television and founding Chair of the Producers Program.
