CINCINNATI – Providing fans the best in regional sports television and the most comprehensive coverage of Cincinnati Reds baseball, FSN Ohio today announced it will telecast 100 Cincinnati Reds games during the 2005 season. Steve Liverani, senior vice president and general manager, FSN Ohio, made the announcement.
The Reds regular season on FSN Ohio begins with the season opener on Monday, April 4 at 2:00 pm as they take on Pedro Martinez and the New York Mets.
Back this season is Real Reds, providing fans with commentary, features and in-depth pregame coverage of the Cincinnati Reds, 30 minutes prior to every game telecast. Dan Hoard hosts the show from the Great American Ball Park with Jeff Piecoro, and with Jim Day from the road.
Also back in 2005 is the Gold Star Chili Reds Wrap post-game show featuring highlights, interviews and analysis immediately following each telecast. Jim Day hosts Reds Wrap following all home and road games.
“With the addition of some talented new players during the off-season, Reds fans have plenty of reasons to look forward to the upcoming season,” said Liverani. “Once again, FSN Ohio is THE place to turn for unparalleled, state-of-the-art coverage of the Reds all year long.”
George Grande and Chris Welsh team up again for their 13th season in the broadcast booth. Grande handles the play-by-play duties, as Welsh provides the color commentary.
FSN Ohio will also televise three Reds Spring Training games this season. Dates and times of those match-ups are forthcoming.
