FSN Florida to Produce SAP Feed for 46 Games on the Regional Sports Network and 24 Games on PAX TV
Spanish Language Announcers Cookie Rojas and Raul Striker, Jr. Return for Third Season
(SUNRISE, FL) – FSN Florida, the exclusive television rights holder for Florida Marlins baseball, today announced that it will produce a live Spanish audio SAP feed for 70 Marlins' home games during the 2005 regular season. FSN Florida will telecast Spanish language play-by-play and color commentary for 46 of the regional sports network's home game telecasts and, for the first time, in home game telecasts on broadcast television. FSN's coverage of the Florida Marlins is televised throughout Florida on over 150 cable systems plus Direct TV and the Dish Network. Paxson Communications' PAX TV will televise 24 Marlins' home games on WPXM TV-35 in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale.
Five-time MLB All-Star Cookie Rojas and South Florida sports producer and broadcaster Raul Striker, Jr. return to FSN Florida's Spanish language broadcast booth for a third year. Rojas, a 19-year veteran of professional baseball, will provide the color commentary and game analysis alongside Striker Jr., who will call the play-by-play action. FSN Florida's regular season Marlins coverage begins Tuesday, April 5 at 4:00 p.m. with a home game against the Atlanta Braves. (SAP game schedule follows)

"With a Spanish language audio feed on all FSN Florida and broadcast television Marlins' home games, the Hispanic community will be able to enjoy the game call of Cookie Rojas and Raul Striker, Jr. on 70 games in 2005, an increase of 40% over Spanish language SAP games during the 2004 season."
The secondary audio feed is accessible through the (SAP) program feature is available on most television sets. The SAP audio is imbedded within a television channel as an alternative to the standard audio that accompanies the video portion of a program. Listeners can choose this secondary audio signal through either a television, stereo VCR equipped to receive SAP signals, or a special SAP receiver.
