Jericho, NY, April 6, 2005 – WE: Women's Entertainment presents Charles & Camilla's Wedding Day: A WE Exclusive on Saturday, April 9 beginning at 7:00am ET (through 10:30am ET). From the couple's arrival to the final photo, WE is the only place in the United States to see LIVE coverage of the entire royal wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. Except for the short civil ceremony, closed to cameras, WE will feature BBC1's LIVE coverage of the entire day's events. The wedding coverage will repeat on WE April 9 from 4:00 – 7:00pm ET.
If three hours of royal wedding coverage only leaves you wanting more, WE will air a Primetime wrap-up on April 9th at 9:00pm ET. The show, hosted by CBS News Correspondent, Mika Brzezinski, will cover all the fashion, protocol, gossip and history of the day and feature footage of the event along with wedding commentary by royal experts including British royal watcher and editor of Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward, bestselling author and journalist, Diane Clehane, and style expert, Simon Doonan. The one-hour special will repeat April 10th at 11:00am, 4:00pm and 10:00pm (all times EDT) and again April 11th at 2:00pm ET.
The tumultuous courtship of The Prince of Wales and his long-time companion, Camilla Parker Bowles will reach its climax April 9th with their marriage in a private civil ceremony. Following the union, the Archbishop of Canterbury will preside over a religious service at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, which will include a blessing of the marriage. Guests at the blessing ceremony will include the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, Princes William and Harry, Prime Minister Tony Blair and members of other European royal families.
