Network Premiere of 30th Anniversary of Taxi Driver is Most Watched Telecast of the Title on Basic Cable in Past 10 Years
NEW YORK, NY, November 30, 2006 – AMC announced today that the network has experienced its best November ever in primetime delivery of Women 18-49 (193,000) and 25-54 (221,000). In addition, AMC's premiere of the 30th anniversary of Taxi Driver on November 18 delivered over 1.2 million homes and over 1.6 million viewers, marking the most watched telecast of the title on basic cable in the past 10 years. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the landmark film, AMC presented a restored and digitally re-mastered version of the classic, approved by Marti Scorsese. Taxi Driver, nominated for three Academy Awards, stars Robert De Niro, Cybil Shepherd, Jodie Foster and Albert Brooks.

Following are November 2006 performance highlights:
- W18-49 primetime performance (193,000) is up +25% from 2005 performance (154,000), AMC's strongest November ever, and 3rd strongest month ever in Female 18-49 performance
- W25-54 performance (221,000) is up +30% from 2005 performance (170,000), AMC's strongest November ever, and 2nd strongest month ever in Female 25-54 primetime performance
- AMC is a top 15 network in Primetime Men 18-49, Men 25-54 as well as Adult 25-54 and a top 20 network in primetime HH Ratings, HH Delivery and Adult 18-49 delivery
- In late night, AMC's Adult 25-54 delivery (292,000) is up +6% year to year and is AMC's #1 month of 2006 to date in late night Adult 25-54 delivery
- In late night, AMC's Women 25-54 delivery (129,000) is up +21% year to year, is AMC's #1 November performance on AMC, and the #1 month of 2006 to date
AMC's premiere of the 30th anniversary of Taxi Driver Delivered a 1.44 HH RTG over 1.2 million homes and over 1.6 million viewers, marking the most watched airing of the title on basic cable over the past 10 years.
Using a programming formula that couples valuable iconic movies with the highest quality original content, AMC has seen its ratings dramatically grow in the last three years, providing record rating growth in every day part each year since 2002. The network's investment in its film library, programming specials and original content had a tremendous impact in 2004 and 2005, rewarding AMC with its best years ever. In 2006, AMC has continued its momentum. Bolstered by the success of the network's first-ever original movie event Broken Trail, as well as other top performances, the summer of 2006 ranked as AMC's best performing summer ever in primetime. For the 05/06 season, AMC remains as a Top 20 network across all household and key demo deliveries and breaks the Top 15 on A25-54, M18-49 and M25-54. AMC also experienced its best 3rd quarter performance in primetime household ratings (.91) and delivery (869K).
