New York, NY, November 1, 2006 – AMC announced today the appointment of Michele Solomon as Vice President, Ad Sales Marketing. In her new role, Solomon will work to develop and grow AMC's distinctive brand. Specifically, her mandate will be focused on achieving ad sales and revenue goals through sales strategies for AMC's growing programming slate. Solomon will report to Linda Schupack, Senior Vice President of Marketing for AMC.

As VP of Ad Sales and Marketing, Solomon will lead ad sales efforts to drive revenue growth and develop a cogent brand positioning of AMC within the advertising community. In addition, she will oversee marketing strategy development to support key network programming and promote the high quality AMC brand experience.
Prior to joining Rainbow Media, Solomon was the Director of Marketing Solutions for Discovery Networks. During her tenure she developed and executed multi-platform, integrated partnerships for key clients for TLC and Discovery Home. Solomon had a central role in fostering the TLC/Discovery Home brand position in the marketplace and cultivated strong relationships to drive business for Ad Sales. Earlier in her career, Solomon held positions at ABC Family and ESPN/ABC Sports.
Solomon received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/International Business from Trenton State College as well as a Language Certificate from the Universite de Montpellier in Montpellier, France and a certificate in Global Branding from Wake Forest University. Solomon is a member of Women in Communications & Television and the Promotions Marketing Association. She is a competitive triathlete and currently resides in New York.
