BURLINGTON, MA – Energy prices are sky high this winter, and FSN New England, actor
Danny Aiello, the makers of Stiffs, and The Salvation Army are teaming up to raise money
for Massachusetts residents in temporary crisis who need assistance with home heating
costs.
Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, an extra role in “Stiffs”, the first Boston
area production of 2006, is up for bid through www.magoodneighbor.org The auction will
close on Wednesday, February 1 at 5:00 p.m. The opening bid is $500 and the proceeds will
go to The Salvation Army’s Good Neighbor Energy Fund.
The high bidder will receive one extra roll in the film, a tour of the set, meet and greet with
the actors, a behind-the-scenes look at how the movie is made, and more. The high bidder
will also receive two FSN New England luxury box tickets to an upcoming Celtics game and
a behind-the-scenes tour of a FSN New England Boston Celtics telecast.

provide your bid and contact info. The high bidder must be available for one day, to be
determined, sometime between February 2nd and February 13th, excluding weekends. To
claim the prize, the winning bidder must present a certified bank check in the name of the
Good Neighbor Energy Fund to The Salvation Army.

Tonight, which airs live at 6:30 p.m. and live again at 10 p.m. on FSN New England.
The black comedy “Stiffs” follows the plight of a proud Italian-American hearse driver, played
by Danny Aiello, who finds himself involved in a misshaped filled plot with a pack of locals to
keep a dying neighborhood funeral home in the black. Other cast members include Louis
Vanaria (A Bronx Tale), Lesley Ann Warren (Desperate Housewives), Jon Polio (The Alibi)
and Frank Vincent (Sopranos). FSN New England on-air personality Gary Tanguay will
appear in the production as TV reporter Mike Roberts, who is following the story of missing
mobsters – a pinnacle theme in the film.

their homes, and Frank and Joe Ciota have graciously allowed FSN New England to auction

Frank and Joe Ciota are director and screenwriter, respectively, of this independent film,
which is the first movie made in Massachusetts since Governor Mitt Romney signed
legislation giving incentives to Boston-based film and TV projects. EMC founder Roger
Marino is a producer of the film.
A cooperative effort between the state’s energy companies, their customers and The
Salvation Army, the Good Neighbor Energy Fund is often the last resort for families who
have not qualified for federal and state assistance programs. The Fund’s “Give the Gift of
Warmth” campaign’s 2005-’06 goal is to raise $675,000 and help 3,250 families. Since the
Fund’s inception twenty-one years ago, more than $12.6 million has been raised to assist
