New York, NY – January 23, 2007 – Continuing its impressive run through the awards season, IFC Entertainment has received two nominations in the foreign language category for the 79th Academy Awards® this morning:
Best Foreign Language Film of the Year, "After the Wedding"
Best Foreign Language Film of the Year, "Days of Glory"
"After the Wedding" is the Danish entry to the Academy and is directed by the acclaimed Susanne Bier.
"Days of Glory" is the Algerian entry to the Academy, directed by Rachid Bouchareb, and a co-release with The Weinstein Company.

IFC Films distributed Bier's last film, "Brothers," which was released in 2005. "After the Wedding" stars Mads Mikkelsen and is produced by Sisse Graum Jorgensen. The film will be released by IFC Films on March 30, 2007.
In addition to the two Academy Award® nominations, IFC films' received 11 nominations for Film Independent's 2007 Independent Spirit Awards – the most for any distributor.
