NEW YORK, N.Y. – September 3, 2008 – As the next step in its integration of Sundance Channel into its larger organization of Rainbow Media, Evan Shapiro, president of IFCtv and Sundance Channel, today announced the Sundance Channel’s new management team.
"This new team will be the engine that fuels an exciting growth strategy for both networks," said Shapiro. "We are dedicated to preserving the powerful Sundance Channel culture and positioning the network for long term growth."
As previously announced, Laura Michalchyshyn is Executive Vice President and General Manager of Sundance Channel. Reporting to Michalchyshyn are: Sarah Barnett, who has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Marketing and Creative; Christopher Barry, Senior Vice President, Digital Media and Business Strategy; and Lynne Kirby, Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development. Kim Gabelmann has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Sales and Branded Entertainment and Christian Vesper continues in the role of Senior Vice President, Acquisitions.
Sarah Eaton, Senior Vice President, Public Relations for Sundance Channel continues in that role, now reporting to Ellen Kroner, Senior Vice President of Rainbow Media’s centralized Communications department.
