NEW YORK, NY, January 25, 2008 – Rainbow Media announced today that Jason Zegel has been named Vice President of Special Projects and Operations. Zegel was formerly Director of Production and Operations for Rainbow Media. In his new role, he will oversee both day-to-day and long term operations for creative services for AMC, IFC, WE tv and the Voom networks, including budget and production/post-production administration, and special projects, providing service to affiliate marketing and ad sales. Zegel reports to Rob Battles, Rainbow Media's SVP of Creative Services.

Zegel started his career as an on-air personality for Star 105 radio in Oswego NY and continued his radio career at
WSEN Radio in Syracuse, NY in the promotions department as well as on-air. In 1994, he moved to CBS in New York and worked as a page for The Late Show with David Letterman as well as other CBS programs. From there, Zegel was hired by CBS News Productions, where he produced original long form programming for cable networks, including A&E (Biography), TLC, Discovery and TNN. In 2001, Zegel was hired by Rainbow Media as Manager of Operations for Creative Services and was promoted to Director of Production and Operations in 2005.
Zegel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the State University of New York at Oswego.
