Los Angeles, CA – August 29, 2010 – On Sunday, August 29, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the winners for the 62nd Annual Emmy® Awards, with AMC making history again as the first cable network to win Outstanding Drama Series, for its original series "Mad Men," in three consecutive years. In addition, "Breaking Bad’s" Bryan Cranston became the first in television history to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series three years in a row, garnering the most wins for an actor in basic cable. The most Emmy-nominated drama on television, "Mad Men," also garnered the Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series for Matthew Weiner and Erin Levy. "Breaking Bad’s" Aaron Paul collected his first Emmy Award win for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama. The most Emmy-nominated basic cable network, AMC received a total of six Awards. "Mad Men" also captured Creative Arts Emmys, which were awarded last weekend, including Outstanding Casting (Laura Schiff and Carrie Audino, CSA) and Outstanding Hairstyling (Lucia Mace, Anthony Wilson, Mary Guerrero, and Peggy Semtob). Since 2007, AMC has garnered a total of 23 Emmy® wins.
