New York, NY – 28 January 2011 – Sundance Channel continues to provide a broadcast space for unique voices by bringing the popular comedy of David Cross (Arrested Development) to its viewers in Europe and Asia with the February premiere of The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. Created, written by and starring Cross, this six-episode half-hour series follows the misadventures of Todd Margaret, a corporate nobody and pathological liar who unexpectedly finds himself running his company’s London office. Charged with launching the sale of a disgusting energy drink to the English public, Todd Margaret is quickly in over his head as he knows nothing about British culture or sales.
"On Sundance Channel in Europe and Asia, we are committed to showcasing original programming with unique perspectives and it would be difficult to find anything more unique, original or hilarious than what David Cross offers as Todd Margaret," states Harold Gronenthal, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Rainbow Media Global.
The series features guest stars Will Arnett (Arrested Development, 30 Rock) as Todd’s tough, foul-mouthed boss and Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) as Todd’s American "girlfriend." Janeane Garofalo (24, Reality Bites) and Russ Tamblyn (West Side Story, Peyton Place) make special appearances.
"The cool thing about Todd Margaret is that, while a straight ahead comedy show, it tells a story that has a beginning and an end. Every episode starts the next morning after the previous episode so that the sense of inescapable impending doom is heightened exponentially with each subsequent show," said David Cross. "There’s no escape."
Viewers are encouraged to check their local listings for exact premiere times and dates.
