LOS ANGELES, July 18, 2013 Sundance Channel received a record ten Prime Time Emmy® nominations for its miniseries “Top of the Lake” and “Restless,” including a category nomination for “Top of the Lake” for Outstanding Miniseries or Movie and acting noms for Elisabeth Moss and Peter Mullan as well as Charlotte Rampling for “Restless”.

We aim to make arresting, dynamic shows that give people something a little bit different and 'Top of the Lake' and 'Restless' do just that,” said Sarah Barnett, Sundance Channel President and GM. “We congratulate all the nominees and thank the members of the Academy for recognizing our series.”

Produced by Emmy Award winner Hilary Bevan Jones (State of Play, The Girl in the Caf?) under her shingle Endor Productions, directed by Edward Hall, and featuring a teleplay written by Boyd, the two compelling installments of “Restless” feature a world-renowned cast including Hayley Atwell (“Any Human Heart,” Captain America) Rufus Sewell (“Pillars of the Earth,” “Zen”), Michelle Dockery (“Downton Abbey”, Anna Karenina), Michael Gambon (“Page Eight,” Luck) and Charlotte Rampling (Melancholia, The Eye of the Storm). Filming took in South Africa and the UK.
“Restless” is made by Endor Productions in association with Sundance Channel for BBC One. Program is produced by Hilary Bevan Jones and Paul Frift for Endor and Executive Producers are William Boyd with Matthew Read for BBC and Christian Vesper for Sundance Channel.
