NEW YORK, NY – October 15, 2013 – WE tv announced today that Tim Philbin has joined the women’s network as vice president of advertising sales, a newly created position at the network. Reporting to Senior Vice President, Allison Clarke, Tim comes to WE tv from NBC where he served as an account executive focused on securing advertising partnerships for the broadcast network’s primetime, daytime and late night shows, including the Emmy® winning reality competition series The Voice and Fashion Star, among others. In his new role at WE tv, Tim is responsible for helping to attain and exceed the channel’s sales goals by maximizing existing client partnerships and forging new ones.
“Tim is joining WE tv at an important moment in our network’s evolution; our shows are reaching and resonating with more viewers than ever before and we’re excited to launch our first scripted series next year,” said Clarke. “Tim brings with him a wealth of experience, deep relationships and a genuine enthusiasm that make him a strong addition to our team.”
Based in the network’s New York City headquarters, Tim is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of WE tv’s eastern region ad sales division. He will direct the assignment of account lists, evaluate sales performance and ensure compliance with sales procedures and accountability. He will also work alongside senior management and each regional office to coordinate account activities outside the New York market.
Prior to NBC, Tim was an account executive at Bravo where he managed sponsorships for Project Runway, Top Chef, Top Chef Masters, Top Design, Guide to Style and Shear Genius. Tim’s 16 years of sales experience also includes sales positions in local sales, the Hispanic market and syndicated sports.
