New York, NY – February 18, 2015 – Come on down to the IFC Fairgrounds! For a second year, IFC is transforming downtown Austin’s Palm Park (East 3rd Street & Red River) into a state fair meets classic carnival experience featuring some of SXSW’s most buzzworthy bands. In addition to live music, the event will feature rides, food, games, giveaways and more. Open for all to enjoy March 19, 20 and 21 from 4:00 – 10:00PM.
The heart of the IFC Fairgrounds will be music on the main stage, with fifteen bands performing over the course of three days. Newly confirmed bands include Odesza, Priory, X Ambassadors, Robert DeLong, Sun Club, Holy Child and COIN along with already announced bands Colony House, Jukebox the Ghost, Rubblebucket and Twin Peaks. The music will be non-stop at the IFC Fairgrounds with local Austin DJ Ramesh Srivastava spinning in between band sets. The full schedule will be announced shortly.
Attendees can go for eight seconds of glory on a mechanical bull, strike a pose in the Airstream photo trailer and Velcro themselves to a giant sticky wall. The IFC Fairgrounds is bringing back crowd favorites including the three-story fun slide and a Game Shack with drink ticket prizes. Austin’s tastiest grub on four wheels will be available in the food truck park as will a beer tent.
