WE TV CONCLUDES THIRD QUARTER OF 2019 WITH RATINGS GROWTH ACROSS ALL KEY DEMOS

WE tv Notches Primetime Growth Versus Prior Year in Third Quarter Across Key Demos Driven By Popular Slate of Unscripted Originals

NEW YORK, NY October 14, 2019 – WE tv announced today that it has marked another quarter of strong ratings growth across key demos, including double-digit increases for third quarter of 2019. In primetime Nielsen live +3 viewing, ratings increased 11% among total viewers, 9% among women 18-49, 8% among women 25-54, 7% among adults 25-54 and 6% among adults 18-49.

On Thursday nights, WE tv dominated with African American viewers, finishing the quarter as the #1 network among African American adults 18-49, adults 25-54, women 18-49 and women 25-54. Among these demos, WE tv accounted for 3 of the top 5 programs on Thursday nights in the third quarter, with “Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta,” “Growing Up Hip Hop New York” and “Beyond The Pole.” “Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta” was also the top overall program among African American women 25-54.

On Friday nights, the third quarter saw the launch of the first spin-off of the “Love After Lockup” franchise, “Life After Lockup,” which was the highest-rated season of the franchise among women 18-49, women 25-54 and tied among adults 25-54 with first half of season two of “Love After Lockup,” which often ranks as the #1 cable program in its Friday, 9:00 p.m. timeslot among women 25-54.

In addition to linear network growth, long form on demand views of WE tv programming across digital platforms have doubled compared to the third quarter of 2018. Additionally, downloads of the WE tv mobile app are now over the two million mark.

WE tv’s hit series “Marriage Boot Camp: Family Edition” premiered its latest season on Friday night, starring Aaron Carter, Corey Feldman and others. Last month, the network unveiled a new original tell-all series, “Untold Stories of Hip Hop,” featuring interviews with Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, Queen Latifah, Ice Cube, Nelly, A$AP Rocky, DJ Khaled, Wyclef Jean, Ja Rule, Fat Joe and more, hosted by the foremost radio personality in hip hop, Angie Martinez.
