Diversity & Inclusion
At AMC Networks, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where everyone treats each other with kindness and respect, creating a space where everyone feels connected and empowered to do their best work and drive the company forward. As storytellers, we’re passionate about telling authentic stories that connect with fans and audiences in meaningful ways – that entertain with vivid characters and worlds that depict the full spectrum of the human experience.
Our Content & Programming
Our Company has a proud legacy as the home to many of the greatest stories and characters in the history of TV and film. We have a long track record of championing and supporting independent and diverse voices and using our platforms to bring these storytellers` visions to life. This history is imbued in our corporate culture and values and informs who we are and our mission to be a premier destination for passionate and engaged fan communities around the world with entertainment that stands out and drives popular culture.

“Future of Film” Initiative
As part of our “Future of Film” Initiative on our AMC+ streaming service, we spotlight short films from emerging filmmakers of all backgrounds licensed from independent film festivals across the United States. These spotlight collections, tied to key cultural moments and heritage months, include projects from the ReelAbilities Film Festival, the Santa Fe International Film Festival, the DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival, Chicago XL Film Festival, the Athena Film Festival and more.

Fostering Inclusive Productions
Through our Inclusive Production Workshop series for production cast and crew, we connect at key inflection points – creative development, below-the-line hiring and the start of production – with a three-module series developed to seamlessly integrate inclusive concepts and practical tools into the workforce, culture and content of our shows.

Native American & Indigenous Storytelling
Dark Winds on AMC and AMC+ brings viewers “perhaps the most ambitious Native-led show ever made,” according to The Hollywood Reporter, thanks to the creative talents and outstanding performances from a team of majority Native American directors, writers, cast and crew. IFC Films' Lakota Nation vs. United States is an award-winning and timely exploration of the Lakota Indians’ quest to reclaim the Black Hills, sacred land that was stolen in violation of treaty agreement that questions what might be done today to repair the wrongs of the past. This follows IFC Films’ Catch the Fair One, the Film Independent Spirit and Gotham award-nominated thriller starring World Champion boxer, activist and performer Kali Reis.
