(SUNRISE, FL) – As part of the continuing celebration of 10 years of Florida Panthers hockey, Fox Sports Net Florida is producing a series of thirty-second vignettes that capture the greatest moments in team history. Offering viewers the chance to reminisce about 30 momentous events that unfolded in the first decade of the Panthers' franchise, The Greatest Moments In Panthers History, presented by Chevy, will debut on Saturday, November 9 during the first intermission of the live Panthers game telecast exclusively on Fox Sports Net Florida.
The Greatest Moments In Panthers History, presented by Chevy, commemorates events taking place from December 1992, when the National Hockey League awarded the franchise to H. Wayne Huizenga, to most recently, the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. A mixture of ceremony, sentiment, and dramatic on-ice accomplishments are represented in this video history of the Panthers. Viewers can relive the early years of the Panthers franchise, marked by the official uniform unveiling and inaugural game at Miami Arena, as well as the frenzy of plastic rats during the 1996 Stanley Cup Finals season and the ushering in of a new era in team ownership.
"The Greatest Moments In Panthers History, presented by Chevy, is Fox Sports Net's celebration of the past decade of Florida Panthers hockey," said Jeff Genthner, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Fox Sports Net Florida. "We are pleased to present this video anthology to hockey fans in South Florida who have passionately supported the team over the past ten years."
The first segment of The Greatest Moments In Panthers History, presented by Chevy, will be televised during Saturday's live game telecast as the Panthers host Calgary. Coverage begins at 7:00pm with PANTHERS PREVIEW, hosted by Jeff Rimer and Denis Potvin, only on Fox Sports Net Florida.
