AMC’s "Mad Men" First Basic Cable Series Nominated for Best Drama Four Years in a Row

New York, New York – December 14, 2010 – This morning, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 68th Annual Golden Globe® Awards. AMC’s critically acclaimed, award-winning original dramas "Mad Men," "Breaking Bad," and "The Walking Dead" were honored with five nominations.

  • Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama: ELISABETH MOSS, "Mad Men"

At last year’s Golden Globes®, AMC received the award for Best Television Series Drama for "Mad Men," which marked the third year in a row the series won in this category a first for basic cable. In 2007, "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm won for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama. In 2006, AMC received three Golden Globe® nominations for the network’s first-ever original movie event, "Broken Trail." The miniseries starring Robert Duvall and Thomas Hayden Church went on to garner several industry awards including four Primetime Emmy® Awards for Outstanding Miniseries, Outstanding Lead Actor, Outstanding Supporting Actor, and Outstanding Casting for a Miniseries.
