NEW YORK, NY, September 17, 2012 — AMC Networks Inc. announced today that John Hsu has been named Treasurer in addition to his current role as Senior Vice President of Financial Strategy. Based in New York, John reports to Sean Sullivan, AMC Networks’ Chief Financial Officer.
In his new post as Treasurer, John will manage the company’s treasury operations in support of its financial goals, and oversee the company’s cash management, investment strategies, and capital structure planning and debt portfolio management. As Senior Vice President, Financial Strategy, John is responsible for evaluating strategic business opportunities including corporate development activities and investments.
“John is a proven leader with terrific insight and a wealth of valuable experience,” said Sullivan. “He has a deep understanding of the company that will enable him to play an important role in the continued success of AMC Networks.”
During his career, John has held key positions within AMC Networks and its former parent company, Cablevision Systems Corporation. Prior to joining AMC Networks, John was a Vice President of Financial Planning at Cablevision. Previous to Cablevision, he was an investment banker. John was a Vice President in Bear, Stearns & Co’s Media & Entertainment Corporate Finance Group and an Associate in SG Cowen’s Gaming, Lodging and Leisure Group. He started his career at Arthur Andersen LLP. John is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
