NEW YORK, NY – November 15, 2024 – AMC Networks welcomes viewers home for the holidays with the return of the annual “Best Christmas Ever” event beginning November 30 and running through December 26. With over 550 hours of holiday programming, AMC’s jolly lineup has something for everyone in the family, including the holiday classics Elf, the 35th anniversary of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, the 20th anniversary of Christmas with the Kranks, the 20th anniversary of The Polar Express, and other beloved classics including Miracle on 34th Street (1947) and the Rankin/Bass holiday stop-motion collection.
On AMC+, viewers can watch new holiday feature Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point, starring Michael Cera, Sawyer Spielberg and Francesca Scorsese as well as two all-new Yule Logs customized for The Walking Dead and Anne Rice fans; plus Shudder’s exclusive streaming debut of holiday horror film A Creature Was Stirring starring Chrissy Metz and an all-new special from The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs: Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage. Additionally, Acorn TV’s popular mystery drama The Chelsea Detective returns with Season 3 premiere Christmas episode.
In honor of the 20th anniversary of the beloved classic The Polar Express, AMC has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery for the official “Best Christmas Ever: Polar Express Sweepstakes,” open now through December 6, where fans can enter to win a grand prize trip to the Grand Canyon for “The Polar Express Train Ride Experience.” Each day during the sweepstakes, one lucky winner will be chosen to receive a collectible The Polar Express Lionel Train.

On Christmas Eve, a family gathers for what could be the last holiday in their ancestral home. As the night wears on and generational tensions arise, one of the teenagers sneaks out with her friends to claim the wintry suburb for her own. Snow is falling and the bodies are piling up for Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage when Joe Bob and Darcy host two holiday horror flicks featuring so much bloodshed that Santa will think twice before coming down this chimney.

The Chelsea Detective Christmas Special “Everyone Loves Chloe” – Debuts December 16 on Acorn TV
Chloe Carmichael, former popstar and one-time darling of the tabloids, is found dead in her Chelsea mansion flat in the days leading up to Christmas. They first suspect a drug overdose, but forensics soon establishes that Chloe had been drowned in the bath. Max and the team must contend with a string of potential suspects, including her hard-bitten manager, a conniving journalist and a Tory MP. Each of them has a secret connecting them to Chloe, but who was it that killed her?
