AMC Networks has been named a 2022 Top Programmer for Women to Work by The WICT Network based on the results of their most recent PAR workplace diversity survey.
The survey — which evaluates pay equity, advancement opportunities and resources for work/life integration — is a critical diversity and inclusion resource for individual companies and the industry at large. The PAR Survey enables participating companies to benchmark their progress toward gender equity and provides overall industry benchmarks relative to other businesses and industries.
The PAR survey gauges quantitative and qualitative employee data and evaluates the diversity and inclusion practices of its participating companies. In all, survey respondents represented an impressive 69% of the overall media workforce. This year marks the 19th anniversary of the PAR Initiative, most recently administered in 2019.
Since 2003, the PAR Initiative has measured the status of women employees in the cable industry based on three main criteria: Pay equity, Advancement opportunities and Resources for work/life integration. A comprehensive advocacy program helping companies to set goals, institutionalize policies, measure progress and achieve results, the PAR Initiative showcases best practices in achieving stronger gender diversity. With a goal to improve diversity metrics for women, the PAR Initiative is supported by all of The WICT Network’s local chapters and is underwritten by the Walter Kaitz Foundation. The PAR Survey is administered in partnership with the NAMIC AIM Survey.
