New York, NY (August 25, 2021) – AMC Networks (NASDAQ: AMCX) announced that Michael J. Sherin III has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of the company. Mr. Sherin joined AMC Networks in 2011 and most recently served as Senior Vice President, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting.
In his new role, Mr. Sherin will be responsible for overseeing all corporate accounting, financial reporting and tax functions and will report to Chris Spade, Chief Financial Officer for AMC Networks.
“Mike has been a tremendous asset to AMC Networks since joining the company a decade ago,” said Ms. Spade. “His diligence and strong technical accounting acumen will continue to be of great benefit to us as we advance our streaming growth strategy.”
Mr. Sherin joined AMC Networks in September 2011 as Vice President, Financial Reporting. Previously, he served as Senior Director, Financial Reporting and Compliance at The Nature’s Bounty Co. from January 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Sherin worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for ten years. He received his degree in accounting from Providence College.
Mr. Sherin is taking on the role previously held by Chris Wymbs who left the company in April 2021.
