New York, NY – November 2, 1011 – AMC Networks Inc., announced today that Tracy Karagianis has been named to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In this position, he is responsible for the development, implementation and support of all information technology for the company and its divisions: AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel, WE tv and IFC Films. Karagianis reports to Steven Pontillo, AMC Networks, SVP of Broadcasting and Technology.

With more than 27 years of information technology experience, Karagianis comes to AMC Networks from GfK Custom Research in New York, where he served as Chief Information Officer for North America.?? He has also held positions at New Line Cinema where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer as well as Long Term Credit Bank of Japan, Security Pacific National Bank, Citibank, Drexel Burnham Lambert and Pacific Gas and Electric.
Karagianis earned his BS, Computer Science from DeVry Institute of Technology, Chicago, Illinois.
