New York, NY – December 7, 2021 – “Growing Up Hip Hop” is back with more secrets, drama, and…babies in the all-new seventh season premiering Thursday, January 5 at 9 PM ET on WE tv. The 50th anniversary of hip hop brings Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Treach, and Kurupt onto one stage. A new baby is coming, but not everyone thinks it’s good news. Meanwhile, a long-held secret romance is exposed, and Romeo Miller makes a dramatic return to the scene which reignites old rivalries.
Egypt is joining Pepa on tour, but how will she juggle the biggest career opportunity of her life with her new house, her husband Sam who is still facing serious jail time, and a secret she’s keeping from her family. OG Layzie Bone wants to honor hip hop’s 50th anniversary and teams up with Treach to challenge to the talented second generation. Are they ready to make new sacrifices and learn a few tips and tricks from Layzie?
