JERICHO, NEW YORK, March 19, 2002 – Cynthia Carpenter has joined AMC Networks as Vice President of Affiliate Marketing, it was announced today by Kim Martin, Executive Vice President, Distribution and Affiliate Marketing, AMC Networks.
In her new position, Carpenter will develop the overall strategy and key promotions that reinforce both the value of AMC and WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT and support the needs of its affiliates with special marketing programs. Carpenter will build the importance of AMC and WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT with affiliates to support network revenue and distribution goals. Carpenter will report to Martin.
Prior to joining AMC Networks, Carpenter was Vice President, Sales and Marketing for High Speed Access Corp in Littleton, CO. There, she oversaw affiliate and consumer advertising, and was accountable for meeting sales goals. Prior to this, she was Director, Retention Marketing at Primestar, where she was responsible for developing loyalty programs to reduce customer attrition. She began her career in the cable industry in 1991 and has held a variety of positions including Director, Marketing at Starz!/Encore and Director, Marketing, Time Warner Satellite Services.
A native of Connecticut, Carpenter is a resident of Northport, NY, and is a graduate of Cornell University and Boston University Graduate School of Management.
