Prague / London – 12 August 2020 – Formula 1 today announces AMC Networks International – Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI CNE) have extended their TV rights agreement to exclusively show the full FIA Formula 1 World Championship until 2023 in Czech Republic and Slovakia. The extended three-year agreement will see Sport1 and Sport2 show the drama unfold across each race weekend, including free practice, qualification, and race day action.
Viewership of Sport1 and Sport2’s live F1 broadcasts continues to see growth in the region, thanks to a dedicated presentation and commentary team, and popular F1 magazine show. The TV rights package also includes F1’s support championships, Formula 2 and Formula 3, offering fans almost 14 hours of live broadcasting across a race weekend.

In addition to Formula 1®, Sport1 and Sport2 will broadcast such premium events as the Golf PGA Championship Tournament, the WTCR − FIA World Touring Car Cup, the KHL, the Champions Hockey League, UEFA European National Team Qualifiers, UEFA Nations League, Coppa Italia, Copa del Rey, as well as the EHF Champions League.
