Sunrise, FL (February 23, 2000) SportsChannel Florida will be relaunched as FOX Sports Net on March 1st at 6:30pm. March will bring FOX Sports Net viewers the most powerful March programming lineup in the 24-hour regional sports network’s history.
As Florida’s exclusive FOX Sports Net affiliate, viewers will continue to enjoy live coverage of Florida’s “Home Teams” including the Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Florida Marlins, University of Miami, University of South Florida and the University of North Florida. In addition, viewers will now have access to a wide variety of exciting national and regional sports programming.
FOX Sports Net’s March schedule features the debut of national FOX Sports Net programming including The Last Word with Jim Rome, Goin’ Deep with Chris Meyers, Hardcore Baseball and Sports Geniuses. FOX SPORTS NEWS with Keith Olbermann will debut in Florida on April 25th. Local, regional events include the NHL’s Florida Panthers as they march towards the Stanley Cup Playoffs, live Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Devil Rays spring training as well as MLB Opening Day live from Japan when the NY Mets face the Chicago Cubs, the FHSAA Girl’s and Boy’s Basketball Championships, extensive coverage of March Madness and much more!
