(SUNRISE, FL) – Fox Sports Net Florida today announced a comprehensive 75-game Panthers telecast schedule for the 2002 – 2003 season (complete schedule below). Jeff Genthner, Senior Vice President and General Manager made the announcement.
Entering the seventh consecutive season as the exclusive television home of the Florida Panthers, Fox Sports Net Florida will air a total of 37 home and 38 away match ups. Viewers will have ample opportunity to catch the Panthers in action against rivals like Eastern Conference Champion Carolina Hurricanes, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, and last season’s surprise contender–the New York Islanders.
Fox Sports Net’s complete coverage of the 2002 – 2003 NHL season begins on Thursday, October 10 at 7:30pm when the Panthers face-off at home against cross-state rival Tampa Bay Lightning. Viewers can join veteran voice of the Panthers Jeff Rimer and Hockey Hall of Famer Denis Potvin beginning at 7:00pm for insight and perspective during the 30-minute pre-game show. Rimer and Potvin, the only television broadcast team in Panthers’ history, return for their tenth season to provide viewers with expert play-by-play and color analysis, respectively.
“Fox Sports Net is proud to be the exclusive television home of the Florida Panthers in their tenth season in South Florida,” said Genthner. “Panthers fans can once again look forward to expert commentary from Jeff Rimer and Denis Potvin and a full season of Fox Sports Net’s extensive hockey coverage.”
Additional coverage of the Panthers on Fox Sports Net includes a 30-minute pre-season preview of the Cats hosted by Jeff Rimer and Denis Potvin. The airdate and time will be announced shortly.
Fox Sports Net’s complete Panthers telecast schedule is attached. All game telecasts will be preceded by a 30-minute pre-game show unless otherwise noted.
