Kara Henderson and John Holt Join Nightly Local Sportscast, Debuting July 31
BOSTON, MA – June 22, 2000 — FOX Sports Net New England today announced that Kara Henderson and John Holt have been named reporters for the network’s new 11PM REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT, the live and local half-hour sports news show that debuts July 31st. David Woodman, Senior Vice President and General Manager, FOX Sports Net New England, made the announcement.
Henderson most recently worked with New England Sports Network (NESN) as nightly host of “Front Row.” She also served as host of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins pre-game shows and was morning sports news anchor for “Sportsdesk.” Henderson worked with ABC News as a production associate and off-air reporter, and with ESPN as a production assistant.
Holt joined FOX Sports Net in 1999 as a rink-side reporter with the Emmy Award- winning Hockey East Game of the Week. Before joining FOX Sports Net, Holt served as a reporter for WABU-68 in Boston, MA where his responsibilities included coverage of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics. Holt hosted 68 Sports Night and in 1999, was honored with a New England Emmy Award for hosting and production.

Earlier, FOX Sports Net New England announced that Eric Frede and Gary Tanguay will serve as the lead anchors for the 11:00 PM REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT.
Henderson began her career in public relations with Cohn & Wolfe. She received a B.A. in Political Science from Duke University. While attending Duke, Henderson worked with WTVD (ABC) Raleigh/Durham as sports production assistant and with WXDU Radio as sports reporter and basketball color analyst.

Holt worked as a sports anchor at WLNE (ABC) in Providence, RI, where he also co-hosted Sports Locker and covered game day action for the New England Patriots. He served as sports reporter and studio host at WFSB (CBS) in Hartford, CT and WGMC in Worcester MA. Holt has also appeared on 850AM WEEI as Sports Update Anchor. Holt began his career calling play-by-play for Syracuse University Basketball, Football and Lacrosse on WAER-FM 88 in Syracuse, NY.

The 11PM REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT will debut in New England on July 31st at 11PM and will be the place New England sports fans turn every night for the most comprehensive look at the world of sports from a local, hometown perspective. The format provides for heavy emphasis on key local stories and will also include important national sports stories that impact New England sports fans.
All the reporting and news gathering for REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT will be done locally, with teams of full-time reporters, correspondents and videographers located throughout the state, dedicated 24-hours a day, 7-days a week to covering New England sports news.
REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT will be produced in FOX Sports Net’s Woburn studios. Steve Reagan will serve as Executive Producer and Terence Rielly will be the Producer of REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT.
The REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT will complement FOX Sports Net’s NATIONAL SPORTS REPORT, which airs nightly at 10:00 PM and 12:00 AM locally. REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT will be immediately followed at 11:30 PM by “The Last Word with Jim Rome.”
