CLEVELAND – Providing fans the best in regional sports television and the most comprehensive coverage of Cleveland Indians baseball, Fox Sports Net Ohio today announced its 150-game Cleveland Indians schedule. Fox Sports Net Ohio will air 76 home games from Jacobs Field and 74 games from the road. Steve Liverani, senior vice president and general manager, made the announcement.
The first pitch of the 2003 regular season on Fox Sports Net takes place in Baltimore as the Tribe takes on the Orioles on Monday, March 31 at 3 pm.
Veteran Indians announcers Rick Manning, beginning his 15th season on Fox Sports Net, and John Sanders, returning for his 13th season, will call 70 games. Mike Hegan will once again provide play-by-play and color analysis with Manning or Sanders for the remaining 80 games on the schedule.
Former WOIO/WUAB sportscaster Jeff Phelps joins Fox Sports Net’s Emmy award-winning pregame show, “Tribe Time,” this season. Jeff, along with Andy Baskin and Matt Underwood host “Tribe Time,” prior to every home and away Indians telecast on Fox Sports Net. Bill Needle continues to bring his outstanding story-telling ability to the show in an expanded role as feature host.
The Indians Post Game Report, hosted by Baskin, directly follows each game and features highlights, player interviews and analysis.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to continue our commitment to Indians baseball,” said Liverani. “We have a long and successful history with the Indians, and look forward to delivering unparalleled, state-of-the-art coverage to their fans this season.”
