CLEVELAND
– Providing fans the best in regional sports television and the most comprehensive coverage of Cleveland Indians baseball, Fox Sports Net Ohio today announced it will air 75 Cleveland Indians games during the upcoming regular season. Fox Sports Net Ohio will air 53 home games from Jacobs Field and 22 games from the road. Steve Liverani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, made the announcement.
The Cleveland Indians will start the 2001 season on Fox Sports Net Ohio with two spring training match-ups from Winter Haven, Florida. On Tuesday, March 13 (7:00 pm) the Tribe faces the Detroit Tigers (replayed on March 14 at 12 pm). The second game will be Thursday, March 15 (1:00 pm) against the Pittsburgh Pirates (replayed on March 15 at 7:30 pm).
The 2001 regular season on Fox Sports Net Ohio begins with a battle against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday, April 4 (7:00 pm). Other key highlights on Fox Sports Net Ohio include four games against the Boston Red Sox and three games against the New York Yankees.
John Sanders, beginning his 11th season on Fox Sports Net Ohio, will be responsible for all the play-by-play duties. His partner, former Tribe player, Rick Manning, returns for his 13th season as the Indians color commentator.
Fox Sports Net Ohio’s Emmy award-winning pregame show, “Tribe Time“, returns for the 2001 season. “Tribe Time,” sponsored by East of Chicago Pizza, will air prior to every home and away Fox Sports Net Ohio telecast. Only on Fox Sports Net Ohio will Tribe fans find in-depth pregame coverage of the Cleveland Indians.

Bob Pennell will direct the games for Fox Sports Net Ohio. Doug Johnson will be the producer, and Lisa O’Leary is producing “Tribe Time,” Fox Sports Net Ohio’s pregame show.
Fox Sports Net Ohio is available to over four million households in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, western Pennsylvania, western New York, and West Virginia.
