(CHICAGO) – With an exciting season of Major League Baseball ahead for both Cubs and White Sox fans, Fox Sports Net will debut a new, weekly series entitled Chicago Baseball Xtra beginning Sunday, April 4 at 10:00 PM. This half-hour program will air every Sunday night at 10:00 PM throughout the 2004 MLB season on Fox Sports Net.
Chicago Baseball Xtra will recap the previous week for the White Sox and Cubs in a fast-paced program filled with highlights, interviews and expert analysis. In addition, the program will take a look at the upcoming series for both teams and provide insight on the opposing teams, players and any other significant league developments affecting the Cubs and White Sox.
The program will be hosted by Fox Sports Net's Cubs studio host Gail Fischer and White Sox studio host Damon Andrews, featuring in-studio analysis from former Cubs star catcher Joe Girardi and former White Sox slugger Ron Kittle. FSN's Cubs game analyst Steve Stone and White Sox game analyst Darrin Jackson will provide taped features on the upcoming opponents and pitching match-ups for the coming week.
Also, FOX Sports MLB analyst Kevin Kennedy will join the Chicago Baseball Xtra cast with his weekly insight on the teams and players that will possibly have an impact on the White Sox and Cubs, along with his comments on the other major baseball news around both leagues. Kennedy's segment will be taped in Los Angeles. Chicago Baseball Xtra will also feature numerous player and manager interviews from both teams.
