BOSTON, MA – The 2004 Red Sox season is just days away and Fox Sports Net’s (FSN) Mohegan Sun New England Sports Tonight presented by the Boston Herald (NEST) will have the fans covered each and every weeknight with the very best expert, independent, inside analysis of the team.
FSN will gear each edition of NEST to providing Red Sox news; locker room interviews; analysis from hosts Gary Tanguay, Greg Dickerson and in-studio guests; and live from-the-field reports before and after the game. During home stands, Steve Buckley and Tony Massarotti of the Boston Herald, and Sean McAdam of the Providence Journal will give their insight on that night’s action.
Immediately following the last out, fans can turn to Gary, Greg and our baseball experts for instant analysis, highlights and additional post game coverage live from Fenway.
“Red Sox fans look with passionate optimism towards the new season, and FSN will provide distinctive coverage of the Sox both before and after the game,” said David Woodman, senior vice president and general manager of FSN. “Before the game, NEST will have news, analysis and live reports from Fenway. The Late Edition of NEST at 10:00 p.m. will focus immediately after the Red Sox game is complete on Gary and Greg’s instant reaction, highlights, and live analysis from Fenway.”
FSN Sox coverage will also mirror its coverage of New England Patriots championship run. FSN will premier two new weekly baseball features — the Friendly’s Scoop with Kevin Millar and Goin’ Yard with Steve Buckley — that will provide fans with baseball insight throughout the entire season.
Each Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and in the Late Edition at 10 p.m., as they did with Patriots Defensive End Richard Seymour, Gary and Greg will go two-on-one with the always-candid Kevin Millar in the Friendly’s Scoop. Every Friday at 6:30 and 10 p.m., Steve Buckley will have his Goin’ Yard report. Goin’ Yard is FSN’s companion to its Four Downs with Felger report that ran weekly during the Patriots season.
