SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The San Francisco Giants 2005 Opening Day lineup boasts a collective 25 All-Star Game selections, 29 Gold Glove Awards, and 286 playoff games. A team with power, experience, and depth, the Giants are expected to make a run at the National League West title and carry this momentum far into the postseason.
FSN Bay Area takes a look at the Giants’ upcoming 2005 campaign with “Bank of America Presents: The 2005 San Francisco Giants Preseason Special” hosted by Renel Brooks-Moon. The program debuts Saturday, March 19that 3:00 PM following FSN Bay Area’s Giants/Padres 12:00 PM exhibition game from Scottsdale, AZ.
The half-hour program will introduce fans to the new faces on the team: Omar Vizquel, Armando Benitez, Mike Matheny and Moises Alou; breakdown the new pitching rotation; highlight Barry Bonds’ pursuit of the all-time homerun record; chronicle a day in the life of a spring training invitee with former Giant F.P. Santangelo; and present a special tribute to recently retired Robb Nen.
