FSN New England Boston Celtics Telecasts Earn 14th Consecutive Boston/New England Emmy Nomination

New England's Oldest Regional Sports Network Earns Four Nominations

BURLINGTON, MA – FSN New England's Boston Celtics coverage continued its excellence, earning its 14th consecutive Boston/New England Emmy nomination, a streak that extends to 1993. FSN's Boston Celtics telecasts, featuring Mike Gorman on play-by-play and Tommy Heinsohn as color analyst, took home the Emmy in the Sports Play-by-Play category in 1997, 1999 and 2002.

Gorman and Heinsohn recently completed their 25th season as the voices of the Boston Celtics, and FSN New England's relationship with the Boston Celtics is the longest running partnership between a Boston professional sports team and a Boston TV outlet. The FSN-Celtics relationship pre-dates any regional sports network-team relationship in America with the exception of MSG and FSN New York's relationships with the Rangers, Knicks, and Islanders.

"We are tremendously honored that our Boston Celtics telecasts have once again been recognized for this honor," said FSN New England Senior Vice President and General Manager David Woodman. "Mike and Tommy would agree that the team behind the camera and in the production truck make the telecasts world-class. We commend them and all of those nominated at FSN for their efforts."

Along with its Celtics coverage, FSN was nominated in the following categories: Program-Campaign, Graphics or Animation-Program and Editor-Program. The 29th Boston/New England Emmy Awards Ceremony will be presented at the Boston Convention Center, on Saturday, June 3, 2006.
