May 21, 2005 – IFC Films’ Me And You And Everyone We Know furthers its critical and film festival awards momentum today with a sweep of awards at the recently concluded Cannes Film Festival.
The Miranda July film, which is produced and distributed by IFC Films, was honored with: the Grand Prix de la Semaine de la Critique (International Critics Week Grand Prize), the Cam?ra d’Or in addition to two awards given by youth juries, The Regard Jeanne and the very young critics award. Set to premiere on June 17, as the inaugural presentation at the IFC Film Center in New York City, Me And You And Everyone We Know has enjoyed major awards recognition since its world premiere at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival where it garnered a Special Jury Prize.

Me And You And Everyone We Know had its world premiere at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival where it premiered in dramatic competition and was recognized with a Special Jury Prize for originality of vision. The film also won awards at the Philadelphia and San Francisco Film Festivals.
Miranda July wrote, directed and stars in Me And You And Everyone We Know. A well regarded performance artist, July brings uses her unique vision to film to tell the story of Richard Swersey (John Hawkes), a newly single shoe salesman who meets the captivating and spontaneous Christine (July). Christine is an artist and “Eldercab” driver who vacillates between heartbreak and faith as she weaves together reality and the fantastical in her art and life. In July’s modern world, everyday people speak innermost thoughts, act on secret impulses, and yield moments that are sad, hilarious and often surreal.
Following its premiere in New York, Me And You And Everyone We Know will bow in Los Angeles on June 24. A national roll out will follow that.
